The yellow fresco

The yellow mural on our lobby windows was created by New York artist Brian Kenny. It shows portraits of Marie-Louise Mignot (Madame Denis), Voltaire's niece and companion, and the Geneva artist Jean-Etienne Liotard. Around the portraits is a vast exhibition of plants and animals from France and Switzerland. If you look closely, you will see an Alpine ibex, a lynx and an Edelweiss, the Swiss flower par excellence. Brian Kenny has also added a bit of creative fantasy with a mythical beast half defence, half phoenix and a little frog riding a squirrel.
